Chica’s dam, Hosiana, is sired by the top progenitor Cornet Obolensky. She represents the small but successful Holsteiner lineage 6893 (Concerto I-II, Casario I-II, and Cascall) and is a half-sister to Emily 183 (by Singulord Joter), a 1.50m showjumper ridden by Miriam Schneider. Hosiana’s half-sister, Galina (by Kannan), is the dam of Vendigo, the German Champion of 5-year-old stallions with Hannes Ahlmann, who was sold at the PSI auction at the age of five for €645,000.

Another notable sibling from the same dam as Hosiana is the 1.40m showjumper Quidam’s Song (by Quidam de Revel), ridden by Hannes Ahlmann. Hosiana’s granddam, Walina, is a half-sister to several top-level jumpers including the 1.45m jumper For Future, the 1.60m jumpers Cash 51 (by Concerto II) and All Star (by Accorado I), and the 1.50m jumper LB Castello, the latter having competed up to Nations Cup level with Christina Liebherr.

Hosiana, who stands at an impressive 1.78m, consistently produces sharp, elegant, modern foals with considerable size, presence, and refinement. Despite their long-legged conformation, they exhibit exceptional agility and athleticism.

Chica moves gracefully through life, always alert and attentive like her mother, but maintains a healthy respect for humans.
