Nirvana is a daughter of Chin Chin, the renowned sire with whom Jaime Azcárraga competed at the highest level, including appearances at the Olympic Games in Seoul and Barcelona.

Nirvana’s dam is Secret Love Wonderland, an exceptional broodmare who produced the BWP ambassador Dulf van den Bisschop and two 1.60m jumpers: Estina and Holland van den Bisschop. She is also the dam of approved stallions Dulf, Arizona, Flinstone, Holland, and Maestro van den Bisschop.

Other notable descendants from this line include Jade van den Bisschop, who won team bronze at the European Championships in 2021, and Nikka van den Bisschop, who won bronze in the Grand Prix of Ocala in March 2025 and was crowned Champion in France earlier this year under Nina Mallevaey.

Nirvana’s last two filly foals sold at auction for €26,000 and €21,500, respectively. These were:

• Ayco vd Bisschop (by Emerald)

Nirvana is currently in foal to Comme il Faut, expecting a filly.
Expected date of birth is 17/04/2026. 

Nirvana van den Bisschop is a 12-year-old dark bay mare standing at 1.72 m.
