THE FILLY EDITION BRINGS FOAL AUCTION 111’S FOAL AUCTION SEASON TO A SUCCESSFUL CLOSE

Foal Auction 111 brought its foal auction season to a successful close on Saturday evening with The Filly Edition. With this unique concept – a foal auction exclusively dedicated to fillies – Foal Auction 111 once again presented a carefully selected collection featuring strong dam lines and proven genetics at Azelhof.

Interest from both domestic and international buyers was strong. With an average selling price of just under €14,000 and almost all of the 35 lots finding a new owner, Foal Auction 111 can look back on a highly successful conclusion to the foal auction season.

The top seller of the evening was Dolce Vita 111. This elegant filly by Comme Il Faut is out of an Elvis ter Putte mare who is a sister to Winningmood van de Arenberg. After an exciting bidding battle, the hammer fell at €34,000, with Dolce Vita 111 heading to her new owner in the Netherlands.

The second-highest price of the evening was achieved by D-Unique van ’t Lohof. This striking Appaloosa filly by J-Nius VV Z immediately caught the eye and also impressed with her excellent movement. She eventually found a new owner in Germany.

Completing the top three was Zuper Cool du Buisson Z, a daughter of Zirocco Blue VDL out of a Dutch Capitol mare. She is the full sister of the 1.60m showjumper Wathnan Zodiak and went under the hammer for €18,000. Zuper Cool du Buisson Z will be heading to the United Kingdom.

The Filly Edition once again highlighted the strength of a concept that is unique in the world of foal auctions. By exclusively offering fillies, the focus is not only on potential future sport horses, but also on the lasting breeding value of strong dam lines. The international interest and strong sales results once again confirmed the appeal of this distinctive concept.

With an average selling price of just under €14,000 and almost all 35 lots sold, Foal Auction 111 concludes its foal auction season on a very positive note.
